A one-of-a-kind boutique hotel in Gagliano del Capo, Puglia, Palazzo Daniele is a 11-suite artist guesthouse set in a 163-year-old aristocratic palazzo and former family residence. The hotel’s majestic yet minimalist interiors draw attention to the grandeur of the palazzo’s original frescoes and mosaic flooring, creating a dramatic canvas for the property’s contemporary art collection. Public spaces invite guests to relax, be it by the living room fireplace, in the spa and pool, in an open kitchen that adheres to ancient Salento and Apulian traditions, or with an aperitivo while listening to music in a sprawling courtyard garden of orange trees.

Facing the lush courtyard, the Junior Suites feature masterworks by celebrated artists, with most of the suites presenting original frescoes ceilings. Royal Junior suite

Through an ancient secret door and up a stone staircase, the Black Suite is an 85-sqm penthouse atop the palazzo boasting minimal design, important artworks, a bedroom, living room, full kitchen, and a1,500-sqm private terrace that circles the palazzo’s central courtyard.

Master Suite

Featuring lovely views of the town’s central square, as well as frescoes ceilings and floors from the 19th century, the Suites are steeped in Italian history. Custom-made pieces, contemporary artwork, a king bed, and a bathroom with walk-in shower round out the exquisite scene.

La Torretta

The only suite with direct access to the courtyard and gardens, La Torretta is a duplex filled with exquisite art,photography, and design, as well as a large collection of classic Italian literature. A refined red marble staircase leads to an en suite bathroom.

Suite Apartment

With its own entrance, saloon, three bedrooms with king beds, three private bathrooms with walk-in showers, dining room with a fully equipped kitchen, and a view of the town square and courtyard, the Suite Apartment is the ultimate space for groups.

Here, four women, each with strong generational roots in the Salento region, make you feel as if you’ve stepped into an old Italian family home. Crafted upon layers of ancient Salento and Apulian tradition, our cuisine respects the seasons and is formed using natural ingredients brought by farmers to the hotel daily.

The small town of Gagliano del Capo, at the tip of Italy’s heel, is set in Salento, which is more formally known as Penisola Salentina.
